MSc EnvEuro

The Master's program "Environmental Science - Soil, Water and Biodiversity" (ENVEURO) has been offered by the University of Hohenheim together with the ELLS partner universities in Copenhagen, Uppsala and Vienna since winter semester 2007/08. The program must be completed at two of the participating universities. After the first year of study, students transfer from their home university to one of the partner universities, where they complete the third semester and write their master's thesis.

This degree program on environmental sciences trains experts who are familiar with EU legislation in addition to knowledge of ecology and resource management. After an introductory basic unit "Environmental Management in Europe (EME)", students can specialize in one of the six subject areas "Environmental Impacts", "Environmental Management", "Climate Change", "Water Resources", "Soil Resources and Land Use" or "Ecosystems and Biodiversity". In the fourth semester, students write their master's thesis, which is jointly supervised by teachers from both universities. Thus, the students automatically acquire a double degree from two universities.
