Data protection

Every time you access the Universität Hohenheim website, this data is stored in a log file. The data in the log file is not personal to specific individuals and is only used to improve the website. We cannot therefore prove which pages you have accessed, nor what data you have called up.

Use of external services

In the areas of the accommodation marketplace and mobile teaching, we use an external link with “Google Maps” to show the location of the offer on a map. In the areas “Portal for prospective students”, “Intranet for students”, and “Intranet for staff”, an external link with the “Facebook social plug-in” is used to show the fans of the University of Hohenheim’s Facebook page. If you visit one of these pages, the IP address will be sent to Google Maps or Facebook. For data protection reasons, however, these are anonymized by the provider so that no information about the computer or user is sent.

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies", i.e. text files that are stored on your computer to help analyse how users use the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. In the case of activation of IP anonymization on this website, your IP address will be truncated within Member States of the European Union or other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and get shortened there.
