Food safety has become an issue of crucial importance to public health. The most important factors related to the increasing importance of food safety are the following:
Food safety authorities as well as the food industry have an urgent need for well-trained professionals with fundamental expertise in the whole field of food safety. This expertise can be only acquired within an international training programme. |

MSc Safety in the Food Chain
The ELLS-SA “Safety in the Food Chain” has designed a joint MSc study programme "Safety in the Food Chain" which was developed with the aim to provide a profound academic education programme concerning all areas of food safety and to offer a study course which combines all expertises existing at Europe’s Universities at a high level. This study programme especially targets students who hold a BSc degree in “Food Science”. Students will gain special knowledge as well as practical skills in the area of food safety, risk identification, risk assessment, and risk communication.
