Background of Summer School / Introduction
A one-week immersive GenAI Academy for curious, capable learners who want to build with AI the right way. Designed for beginners and early practical users, the course covers vibe coding, agentic AI, and AI workflows in a supportive, hands-on environment. You’ll leave with a polished, secure, and practical application tailored to your goals. This programme is a collaborative educational initiative within the ELLS (EuroLeague of Life Sciences Universities) Subject Area Digitalization in the Life Sciences.

Participants
A maximum of 60 participants, with no more than 15 participants in each group
Previous Knowledge
No prior AI course or advanced technical background is required. The course is designed for smart beginners and early-stage practical AI users looking to build hands-on skills in a supportive environment. Participants only need basic computer literacy and their own laptop; if needed, a laptop can be lent free of charge.

• Specialized AI-assisted tools
• Legal, ethical, and societal aspects of generative AI
Intended Learning Outcome (ILO)
After completing the course, the student is expected to be able to:
- develop capabilities to remain competitive in a transforming AI-driven job market,
- build powerful AI workflows using LLMs,
- design and create a web application from A to Z with generative AI support,
- select the right tools, methods, and governance for real-world projects,
- apply AI Act–aligned evaluation, governance, and risk mitigation,
- use agentic AI to handle autonomous tasks.
Course Schedule
Saturday, July 11, 2026 — arrival in Prague, with the option of a city sightseeing tour and an informal evening networking
Sunday, July 12, 2026 — optional organized full-day trip to an interesting destination in the Czech Republic
Monday–Friday, July 13–17, 2026 — intensive full-day programme of lectures and practical workshops, with an optional evening programme
Friday, July 17, 2026 — presentation of practical projects and formal closing of the course

Course Format / Teaching Methods
20 hours of lectures and 20 hours of seminars (Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM–12:00 PM and 1:00 PM–5:00 PM).

Type of Assessment and Assessment Criteria
Credit awarded for project submission; final exam consisting of 8 multiple-choice theoretical questions and 8 short practical demonstrations.
Cultural Activities / Social Program
Prague sightseeing tour, an informal evening networking, an optional organised full-day trip, a welcome dinner and a farewell dinner.
Tuition Fees
If you apply early, by May 15, 2026: €900 for ELLS participants and CZU students (Standard fee: €1,800).
If you apply by June 30, 2026 (application deadline): €1,200 for ELLS participants and CZU students (Standard fee: €2,000)
Additional Costs
• The fee INCLUDES accommodation, lunch and coffee breaks, as well as a welcome dinner and a farewell dinner.
Accommodation
Accommodation is provided in dormitory rooms located directly on the university campus.
Health Insurance
At the participant's expense.
Visa
Participant arrange their own Visa if required.
