ELLS Institutional Learning Sessions are offered by at least one ELLS staff member. These in-person seminars or online webinars focus on a specific topic and enable the exchange of best practices within ELLS staff.
Objectives
- Promote structured institutional learning processes across partner universities.
- Maintain and contribute to the alliance?’s institutional memory.
- Ensure systematic documentation of experiences, implementation practices, and lessons learned.
- Facilitate cross-partner reflection and knowledge exchange during designated learning events.
- Ensure that knowledge, experiences, and insights generated through joint activities are systematically shared, reflected upon, transmitted to Task Forces and Subject Areas, and embedded into institutional practices across partner universities.

Short description: Open Educational Resources (OER) as an important part of the Open Science movement make teaching and learning materials freely accessible, adaptable, and reusable. In this webinar, we will explore the basic principles of OER, their benefits for higher education, and practical ways to find, use, and share open materials. Participants will gain an overview of key concepts, licensing issues, OER-publishing and first steps toward integrating OER into their own teaching practice.
Target audience: Teachers, lecturers, instructional designers, e-learning staff, educational developers, students, and everyone interested in open education and digital teaching resources.
