Genomics for Plant Breeding and Biotechnology

The course will be a mix of lectures, case studies, practical bioinformatic and wet lab exercises,  covering various aspect of genomics relevant to plant breeding and biotechnology, such as:

Next Generation Sequencing methods, RNASeq data analysis, Micro RNA, Genomic selection (guest lecturer Rodomiro Ortiz from Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences), Genotyping by Sequencing, synthetic biology and molecular farming, plant tissue culture, and more.

Workshop on starting a biotech start-up (led by L. Alexander Lyznik) will be an essential part of the course!
