New Chair of the Board
As of
January 1 (2012) ELLS welcomed a new Chair of the Board, Niels Elers Koch, from
the Faculty of Life Sciences (LIFE), University
of Copenhagen.
The former Chair of the Board and Dean of LIFE, Per Holten-Andersen, resigned
in December 2011 after having been offered the position as Rector of the
Copenhagen Business School (CBS), one of the eight universities in Denmark. Per
Holten-Andersen was Dean of LIFE for ten years and part of the ELLS network for
just as long. ELLS is very sorry to see him leave, but wish him all the best
for the future.
LIFE´s new interim Dean, Niels Elers Koch (former Head of Department of Forest & Landscape at LIFE), who is also presently the President of IUFRO, will take over the Chair of the ELLS Board for the remaining period of the LIFE Presidency. LIFE´s Prodean for Education, Grete Bertelsen, remains as Chair of the ELLS Task Force.
