Introduction
Dissemination of update knowledge on “Nutrition and Health” should make the promotion of healthy lifestyles and prevention of chronic diseases quicker and simpler, which in turn will reduce the amount of funds spent on healthcare for the treatment of these non-communicable (diet-related) diseases within the nations of the European Union. Education can play a decisive role in the prevention of chronic diseases. This is especially true for younger people, since experience show that successful modification of unhealthy lifestyle patterns and habits once established represent a difficult challenge and incidences of relapse are numerous.
