Quality Assurance

The Support Team on Quality Assurance was set up in October 2004 and pursues the following objectives:

• To carry out an exchange of information between the ELLS universities in the area of quality assurance, evaluation, benchmarking and quality development with special emphasis on teaching and learning.
• To benchmark and analyse common practices in the field of evaluation (especially course evaluation and programme evaluation)
• To improve evaluation procedures and follow up processes
• To improve and further develop the quality of courses and study programmes, especially of international Master programmes
• To advise the ELLS Board on issues of QA

The Quality Assurance Group comprises experts from all partner universities and from the student association ELSA in order to assure that student affairs are well considered. The group also established a good coordination with ICA, the Association of European Life Sciences Universities Europe as well as with EAALS (European Accreditation Agency for the Life Sciences).The experts of this group bring in different kinds of expertise and participated in several international projects (Socrates, LLL, Tempus).
